| PAM wins Emerging Debt award at PIPA 2009 Pictet Asset Management was announced winner in the category Emerging Market Debt at the Pensions and Investment Provider Awards 2009 that took place in London on 6 May 2009. |
The Pension & Investment Provider Awards combine the forces of both Pensions Management and Pensions Week magazines. The awards seek to recognise excellence among providers of products and services to UK occupational pension schemes. The key criteria used to adjudicate the awards are performance, innovation, service standards and competitive edge. Picte Asset Management's emerging debt team beat competition from Ashmore, Investec, Lazard and HSBC to win the 2009 award in the overall ‘Emerging Debt’ category. Ashmore were ‘commended’, however Pictet beat them to the prize based on performance. The emerging debt team, headed by Simon Lue-Fong, were highly praised for their innovative investment strategy in 2008, the positioning of their portfolios to the global risk environment as the economy moved from the credit crisis to recession. This award is a testament of Pictet's strong capabilities in this asset class. |
