Pictet Asset management won for a third unprecedented year Best Fund Management Group at the Investment Week 2011 Climate Change Investment Awards held on the 10th November 2011 in London. The other shortlisted companies for the best fund management group category were Vontobel Asset Management, F&C Asset Management, Henderson and Impax.

The strength and depth of our product range in the SRI space was demonstrated in our getting short-listed for four out seven awards, with three individual funds shortlisted in one single category. The Pictet-Clean Energy and Pictet-Water funds were highly commended in the Best Clean Energy Fund and Best Water, Food, Agriculture & Forestry categories.

The Financial News Awards for Excellence in European Institutional Asset Management 2011 were held on 12 October 2011 at the Freemasons Hall, London.

 

For the third year running, Pictet Asset Management was awarded first place in the category "Swiss Asset Management Firm of the Year", ahead of Earth Resources Investment Group, Lombard Odier Asset Managers, Swisscanto and Vontobel.

To decide the awards, Financial News magazine assembled a distinguished panel of more than 70 pension fund consultants, fund management executives and marketers from across Europe who voted on the nominated fund management groups in each category. What set Pictet Asset Management ahead of the other nominees were its diversification into UCITS funds with several new launches to bridge the gap between its institutional and wholesale clients' needs.

These awards aim to provide the definitive and authoritative industry view of the performance and strategy of the main players in the European institutional asset management industry.

Organised by both Pensions Management and Pensions Week magazines, the UK Pension & Investment Provider Awards (PIPA) awards recognise excellence in the provision of products and services to UK occupational pension schemes. The event was held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London, on 18th May.

 

The key criteria used to adjudicate the awards are performance, innovation, service standards and competitive edge.

 

F&C Investments was highly commended for its submission, however it was Pictet Asset Management that demonstrated a distinct competitive edge, especially in our sustainable Sector & Theme fund offerings (Pictet-Water, Clean Energy, Agriculture & Timber) as well as our quantitative SRI capabilities.

This award is a testament of Pictet's continued strength in this asset class.

Pictet Asset Management was voted SRI Provider of the Year for the third year running at Global Pensions' 10th Anniversary Awards.

The Global Pensions Awards are widely acknowledged as the leading honours in the investment management industry.

The publication invites all pension funds to nominate excellent service providers for each of the categories in the Global Pensions Awards. All nominations are voted and no submission takes place until an entrant is nominated. A rigourous selection process is then carried out and a distinguished panel of judges, including top pension fund executives from Europe, North America and Asia, together with their consultants, chooses the winner. This year again Pictet Asset Management was chosen, among a shortlist of six leading SRI managers, as the winner of the category.

To win this award for the third consecutive year is testimony to Pictet's growing prominence and commitment to this field. 

Pictet Asset Management was again nominated for the same award at the Global Pensions Awards 2010.

In France, institutional investors elected Pictet Asset Management as the winner of this prestigious award at the "Talents de la Gestion" awards organized by the French Association of Institutional Investors and the consultant Multiratings.

This qualitative award distinguishes the asset manager whom French institutional investors value the most and it highlights how well PAM is perceived in the French market.

Pictet Asset Management was announced winner in the category Emerging Market Debt at the Pensions and Investment Provider Awards (PIPA) 2009 that took place in London on 6 May 2009.

The awards, organised by both Pensions Management and Pensions Week magazines, seek to recognise excellence among providers of products and services to UK occupational pension schemes. The key criteria used to adjudicate the awards are performance, innovation, service standards and competitive edge.

Pictet Asset Management was named Best Asian Fixed Income Manager for the year 2008 at the recent AsianInvestor 2009 Investment Performance Awards.

Pictet Asset Management was named "Specialist Manager of the Year" at Global Investor's 2009 Awards.

The distinction was a special award personally given by the magazine's editor, Caroline Allen, based on "the standing and reputation of the firm and its key executives in the market, the quality and innovation of its corporate strategy over the year, and the performance of one or more of its individual products, demonstrating clear commitment to excellence and client service".

The editor was particularly impressed by our range of products, in particular the thematic and SRI funds launched in a timely manner, the dedication to quality rather than asset growth our company has demonstrated and also by the overall reputation of our firm within the industry.

Other nominees in this category included Prime Rate Capital Management and Ermitage Investment Management.

Global Investor magazine is a leading industry periodical for the international asset management community, distributed in 36 countries with a circulation of around 9,000.

Pictet Asset Management is delighted to have won the Award for Investment Excellence in the category Emerging Market Equities for the second year running.

Picked by a panel of independent judges from a shortlist of nominations offered by the industry, the Awards recognise performance, rigorous investment processes and commitment to transparency and best practise.

The other nominees in this category were Baillie Gifford and First State Investments.

Pictet Asset Management won the award in the same category in 2007 and was also nominated in 2005.
